Our History

We are a local group of women, of all ages, united by the common bond of love for gardening, a wholesome environment and the desire for a closer relationship between our urban and rural surroundings. The Waterford Garden Club, a local branch of the Woman’s National Farm & Garden Association, was organized on May 6, 1954.

Our Organization - Woman's National Farm & Garden Association

The Woman’s National Farm & Garden Association was organized in Pennsylvania in 1914. It brings together a national organization of women who are united by the common bond of love for gardening, a wholesome environment and the desire for a closer relationship between urban and rural women. The framework of the organization consists of a National Committee and Council, elected by the general membership, the Division Executive Committee and Council which includes the branch presidents in each state; and last but most important of all, the branches which are the basic units for the execution of the projects of the association.

Our Mission - The Waterford Garden Club
